Civil War Round Table of Fredericksburg Receives Rueckel Innovation Award
The Civil War Round Table of Fredericksburg was honored to receive the Wallace Rueckel Award for Innovation from the Civil War Round Table Congress. During the September 23 meeting, Mr. Mike Movius, president of the Congress, presented the award to Jerre Wilson, president. The award is named in honor of Mr. Rueckel, who established the Brunswick Civil War Roundtable, the largest in the nation. He was a leader in the roundtable community and led a group of organizers to found the Civil War Roundtable Congress.
The Fredericksburg Round Table was recognized for its work to codify and implement administrative procedures that define how the Round Table operates. This will be extremely helpful during the transition of officers and members on the Board of Directors. George Fenton, Steve fox, and David Hamon were instrumental in the development of these procedures.
