Touring the US Army Museum

On October 17, 2026, members of the Round Table enjoyed a fantastic tour of the National Museum of the United States Army, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.  Jack Farrington, past president of our Round Table and docent at the museum, led the tour, explaining details of the exhibits and the significance of each.  The Museum opened in 2020 and has 185,000 square feet of exhibits including all military campaigns the Army has participated in since the Revolution to this day.  There are over 1,100 historical items on display, including a current exhibit celebrating the 250th Birthday of the Army.  The group spent time examining exhibits from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and recent action in the Middle East. All were impressed with the high quality of every aspect of the museum.
