2018 Recipient Thomas Ritz
At our May 23, 2018 Civil War Round Table of Fredericksburg meeting, John Hennessy, Chief Historian with the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Park, introduced our 2018 Honorary Albert Z. Conner Internship recipient, Thomas Ritz.
Thomas Ritz is from Apalachin, New York. He is an Eagle Scout and has worked at a Boy Scout Camp. He also gained excellent public contact skills working at McDonalds. Among his interests he includes playing an old-time fiddle. Thomas is attending Davis College in Johnson City, New York pursuing an Associate’s degree in Christian Ministries. He then plans to enroll in Shepherd University, in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and their Bachelor’s program in Civil War/19th Century America. Thomas would like to become a Park Ranger.
Thomas returned to his studies at Davis College in Johnson New York in August. We hope Thomas found his internship a learning and rewarding experience. We wish him the best and want him to stay in touch!
