Did You Know We’re Here?

Many people are surprised to discover that our Civil War Round Table has been quietly serving the community for years—bringing together history enthusiasts, educators, students, and lifelong learners who share a passion for preserving America’s past.

While countless people visit historic battlefields, read books about the Civil War, or watch documentaries, not everyone realizes there is a local organization dedicated to keeping that history alive right here in our own community.

Our Round Table exists to educate, inspire, and connect people through engaging programs, guest speakers, discussions, tours, and events centered around Civil War history and its continuing impact on our nation. Each meeting offers an opportunity to learn something new, hear from respected historians and authors, and meet others who appreciate the importance of understanding the past.

One of the greatest strengths of our organization is that you do not need to be an expert to participate. Whether you are deeply knowledgeable about military campaigns or simply curious about the people and stories of the era, there is a place for you here. Our members come from many backgrounds, but all share a common interest in learning and preserving history.

Beyond meetings and lectures, we are also committed to historical preservation and public education. We believe history should not be forgotten or overlooked. Through community outreach and support for preservation efforts, we help ensure that future generations can continue to experience and understand the events that shaped our country.

In today’s fast-moving world, organizations like ours play an important role in keeping meaningful conversations about history alive. The lessons of the Civil War—leadership, sacrifice, division, courage, and reconciliation—remain relevant today. By studying history together, we gain perspective not only about the past, but also about ourselves and our future.

So yes—we are here, and we invite you to join us.

Whether you attend a meeting, bring a friend to a presentation, explore our events, or become a member, you become part of a community dedicated to preserving history and sharing it with others. We hope you’ll discover that history is not just something to read about—it is something to experience together.
