Rappahannock Valley Civil War Round Table 2019 Bus Tour Saturday, May 18, 2019 The Rappahannock Valley Civil War Round Table invites the Civil War Round Table of Fredericksburg members to join them in their 2019 bus tour on Saturday, May 18th to Lexington, Virginia. The $80 fee ($100 after May 5th) will be the same for members of each Round Table. Non-member fee is $100. Cost includes transportation, lunch at “The Southern Inn” and all entrance fees.

Tour stops will include:

Visit Virginia Military Institute: VMI Museum (includes Jackson’s favorite hat, two of his uniforms, as well as his raincoat worn at Chancellorsville. Also includes the preserved remains of “Little Sorrel”), VMI Parade Ground (including Little Sorrel’s” grave & the guns of The Rockbridge Artillery” (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John)

Visit Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery: Final resting Place of “Stonewall” Jackson & his family, along with William & “Sandie” Pendleton, General Elisha “Frank” Paxton (Commander of “The Stonewall Brigade”) & many other Civil War notables

Visit Lee Memorial Chapel: Includes Edward Valentine’s “Lee Recumbent” Statue, Museum, Lee Family Crypt & Grave of “Traveler”
